Boucle Top with Fringe

In preparation for the Chanel-esque jacket, I decided to do one project with boucle (or maybe it's nice soft tweed). And I wanted to try a fully functional exposed zipper and fringe made from the same fabric.

Exposed zipper is incredibly easy to do and here's a great tutorial from professorpincushion.com that I used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jc17-BGxOko

Making the fringe was also fun - you just carefully pull out threads until you're satisfied with the fringe's width and then secure the edge with a zigzag stitch.

Anyway, if there's one thing that I'd do differently next time it's the sleeves. Imho, they need to be a little bit shorter. But still, quite pleased with the first try and boucle is incredibly easy to work with.

A look from the inside :)

and here's me wearing it :)
