I have no idea why it took so long, but after nearly a month of learning how to sew a partial placket (with a hidden buttonhole layer) and perfecting a flat rounded collar, I have it :)
So here's it is finally. And I intend to make at least one more. The trick is to find the right fabric and the right ribbon with enough give so that it can be applied to the collar and the collar would stay flat. Anyway, very pleased with the result.

And here's the original Anthropologie top that inspired this project. The overall shape was all wrong for me but I loved the detailing and the ribbon.
