One of my favorite bloggers, Helena of Brooklyn Blonde (http://www.brooklynblonde.com/), is often sporting this, imho, ultimate IT bag: this sleek quilted black jewel by Channel. I don't know where she got it and I haven't seen any new Chanel bags like this one. But it's my absolute favorite and it's so universal that it would go with everything.
However, even if I did have that much disposable income, I don't think I could ever bring myself to shell out $3500 for a handbag. Maybe I'll change my mind some day, but I'm not there yet :)
So, when I saw this little beauty at Aldo for $55, I had to have it. It's very well made, nice quality imitation leather, very roomy, quilted, the shoulder straps are the perfect length, and it's got just the right amount of hardware. So, until I am brave enough, or silly enough :), to get a real Chanel bag, I'll just have to content myself with this.
